FAWN HOTEL’s check-in hours are from 3:00 PM to 9:30 PM, with an additional charge of ¥1,000 per hour for late check-ins. What’s great is that the front desk staff speak Mandarin, providing a welcoming sense of home for Taiwanese travelers. It’s comforting to hear a familiar accent when traveling abroad.

While the check-in process requires filling out some basic forms, it was surprising to see that no Chinese translations were provided. The front desk operates until 10:00 PM, and after that, guests need to use their room key cards for access. If you need assistance, there’s a convenient QR code on the room desk that you can scan to reach staff.

Upon check-in, you’ll receive a bright yellow amenities bag that matches the brand’s color scheme. It includes essentials like toothbrushes, room keys, and tea bags. The bag is yours to keep, and you can request more tea at any time.

The lobby greets you with an inviting tropical island theme. The bold “HAVE FAWN!” slogan reflects the hotel’s playful and vibrant spirit, echoing Osaka’s dynamic energy with a bright mix of yellow and orange tones.

There’s a comfortable lounge area equipped with a microwave and water dispenser, perfect for enjoying snacks or ready-made meals from the nearby 24-hour grocery store.

Unlimited Snacks and Fun at the FUN ROOM

The FUN ROOM is one of FAWN HOTEL’s standout features. It offers unlimited snacks and a Nintendo Switch for guests to enjoy. However, this space is only open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, so if you return late, you’ll miss out on this fun amenity. My personal favorite was the adorable foosball table, adding a touch of nostalgia to the room.

The variety of snacks available was impressive! You’ll find Calbee chips, the ever-popular Japanese snack Umaibo, and even cute Crayon Shin-chan candies – a must-try for fans of the show. I particularly recommend the barbecue-flavored Calbee chips – delicious!

The room is decorated with vibrant bean bags and small sofas in soft, rounded shapes. The colorful furniture adds to the cheerful and playful vibe, making it a great spot for families with kids. The tropical holiday theme throughout the space creates a relaxing atmosphere that encourages you to unwind and have fun.

The hotel also provides multi-language tourist guides for Osaka, making it easy to explore the city even without prior planning.

Superior Twin Room Review

The Superior Twin Room I stayed in is a cozy 12 square meters, a typical size for Japanese hotels.

While the space is compact, there’s enough room to lay your suitcase flat for easy access to your shopping finds.

Inside the room, you’ll find a mini-fridge and a safe for valuables. Even the tea cups and tissue box holders match the hotel’s bright color scheme, adding a touch of warmth to the minimalist décor.

The biggest surprise was the bathroom! Unlike some cramped Japanese hotel bathrooms, FAWN HOTEL’s bathroom was spacious, with a bathtub perfect for a relaxing soak after a long day of sightseeing.

In terms of toiletries, they went beyond the basics, offering both shampoo and conditioner with a fresh, natural fragrance.

For modern travelers, a fast internet connection is a must. FAWN HOTEL’s Wi-Fi did not disappoint, with speeds up to 260 Mbps, perfect for streaming, work, or video calls.

Would I Recommend FAWN HOTEL?

From the moment I checked in, FAWN HOTEL’s Taiwanese staff made me feel right at home. The hotel’s convenient location puts you within easy reach of Osaka’s top attractions, like Shinsaibashi and Tsutenkaku. Nearby, there’s a 24-hour grocery store, and the rooms are more spacious than your average Japanese hotel.

Despite being close to bustling shopping streets, the hotel itself is surprisingly quiet. If you’re looking for affordable, stylish accommodation with excellent service and fun amenities like gaming consoles and snacks, FAWN HOTEL is the perfect choice for your stay in Osaka.
